The AARSE2016 Conference plans a Capacity Building & Outreach  activity for secondary school students from various schools during the conference week.

The Geography, Geo-informatics & Climatic Sciences aims to establish a program for cooperation with secondary schools on geospatial education which this conference activity will be of huge contribution to this development programme.

The Geography Department of Makerere University will organise regular GIS Days for the general public and schools in particular,  being an initiative to bring spatial thinking and Geo-information systems to the public. This will require GIS experts inviting various schools and teachers to participate in presentations and workshops.
